Four Steps to Install Your SIM System
Installing a snow melt system begins with Sun Star Heating and Cooling for a free in-home estimate. During the consultation our snow melt system experts will explain how the process works, and how much it will cost. Each home offers its own set of unique challenges and factors such as driveway or walkway length and topography will be taken into consideration and included in the estimate. Installing a heated driveway or snowmelt systems for business walkways and sidewalks are a significant investment. Step 1 In-Home Inspection

Step 2 Evaluation and decision
Create a SIM design to properly size system components. Step 3 Installation Timeline
Now that you’ve selected your unit replacement, it’s time for installation. SIM systems are typically installed in concrete slabs, but are sometimes used under paving stones. A manifold is installed near the SIM area that will connect to the pipe circuits RAUPEX is secured to foam insulation or wire mesh/rebar to make a circuit, back to the manifold Concrete is poured over the PEX or sand and paving stones are placed above
