Four Steps to Install Your New Furnace/Heat Pump
Installing a furnace can be a stressful decision, but we can make easy for you. It may be tempting to DIY the process and save on the services fee but such an installation contains various complicated components that can be dangerous if executed right. To give you an idea of what our process entails, here’s a look at Sun Star Heating & Cooling HVAC system installation services:
Step 1 In-Home Inspection
Prior to scheduling a new unit installation, our technician will first meet with you and perform an in-home walkthrough. We will evaluate factors such as the square footage of your home, the age of the home, the type and amount of insulation, the electrical panel that powers the unit, and the condition of ductwork.
Step 2 Evaluation and decision
Following an initial inspection, we provide an estimate for a few different unit options to choose from. The options presented will be units that are going to work best for your home and living conditions. When evaluating each option, be sure to ask about any warranties that come with the unit.
Step 3 Installation Timeline
Now that you’ve selected your unit replacement, it’s time for installation. The exact amount of time it takes to install a new HVAC unit can vary based on a number of factors, including the size of your house, the accessibility of the space where your HVAC components are stored, the state of the ductwork, and the dimensions of your new HVAC. Generally speaking, the average installation will take anywhere from four to eight hours, which means the process of removing the old unit and being able to turn on the new one should be finished within a day.
